The VISTA Camo armband is one of the best protective bracelets on the market.
It is worn directly on the forearm, but can also be slipped over larger items of clothing to prevent rope rubbing and avoid noisy and/or painful unhooking.
Particularly practical for hunting in sub-zero temperatures, it is made of elastic fabric with two rigid bars under the seams for compression and protection of your forearm.
