It works by triggering a paddle when the animal places its paw on a small platform in the middle of the cage. The two doors are then released, closing the cage without harming the animal. An ingenious spring-loaded locking system prevents the animal from opening the doors.
This cage has a side access to make it easy to place bait in the centre and handles so you can transport the cage safely without the risk of being bitten once the animal has been caught if you want to release it further away.

Its ingenious release system means it can be used in virtually all conditions, whether on uneven ground or a flat surface, in water, on a steep slope of up to 45° such as a pond bank outlet, under a heavy load such as a pile of branches, etc.
